FAQs

When should I use Aromax?
Aromax is non-greasy and non-staining, so it can be used anytime, anywhere, before, during and after workouts or strenuous activity, or whenever your muscles feel stressed and overworked.  Using Aromax before physical activity primes and conditions the muscles, and using it afterwards helps muscles recuperate. Many of our customers find that Aromax is great to use last thing at night to help them relax and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

What is the difference between Aromax and other muscle relief products and sports rubs?
Conventional topical products contain ingredients such as menthol or capsaicin that create a topical ‘freezing’ or ‘burning’ sensation that temporarily masks the sensation of muscle discomfort.  Aromax contains therapeutic botanical ingredients in a proprietary formula which, in combination with gentle massage, naturally increases blood flow to the muscles, reduces inflammation and promotes healing.

Why does Aromax smell so different from other sports/muscle rubs?
Aromax does not contain menthol, camphor or methyl salicylate, ingredients which give conventional rubs their strong odor.  Aromax contains pure essential oils from botanical sources, which give the gel a pleasing spa-like aroma.

Why does Aromax contain aloe vera?
Recent scientific studies show that aloe vera contains plant sterols and enzymes that have natural analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.  Aloe vera absorbs into the skin easily and contains vitamins, minerals and polysaccharides that moisturize, nourish and protect the skin. Aromax Muscle Relief Gel contains organic aloe vera from the leaf in its most biologically active form for maximum benefits.

What sizes of Aromax are there?
Aromax comes in a handy, clip-on 1 oz. tube, a convenient 4 oz. tube and a 16 oz. pump bottle.

What is the shelf life of Aromax?
The shelf life of Aromax is two years.  The batch number and expiration date appear on each product.

Can I use a heating pad with Aromax?
Yes, Aromax is safe for use with heating pads; gentle warmth helps Aromax work even faster.

Can I use Aromax on a skin abrasion, open cut or stitches?
Yes, unlike many conventional products, Aromax is safe to use even on broken or damaged skin.  The essential oils have a natural anti-bacterial effect, and the aloe vera speeds up skin healing.

Does Aromax help for outdoor sports activities or for sun exposure?
Aromax is a wonderful hydrating moisturizer for skin.  The essential oils in Aromax have anti-bacterial properties to help heal minor skin abrasions, and aloe vera and lavender are traditional remedies for skin that has been exposed to wind and sun.

Will Aromax help with insect bites or poison oak?
An added benefit: our customers report that Aromax Gel is very helpful in reducing the itching, redness, swelling and discomfort caused by bug bites and poison oak.

Does Aromax contain menthol, camphor or methyl salicylate?
No.  Aromax is a revolutionary new muscle relief product that uses pure botanical extracts to provide natural relief without strong-smelling chemical ingredients.

Does Aromax contain capsaicin, capsicum or any other ‘hot’ ingredient?
No.  Aromax works naturally without causing any uncomfortable ‘burning’ sensation.

Is Aromax a vegetarian product?
